Las Cruces tops Carlsbad

The Lady Bulldawgs dominated the Cavegirls, 62-26 in Saturday’s game at the ‘Dawg Pound.

Lead by Jade Brown with 18 points, followed by Devon Mulheron with 16, Las Cruces was able to hold Carlsbad to a scoreless fourth quarter. The victory puts the Cruces squad at 3-0 on the season.

Carlsbad’s Taylor Edmundson lead her squad with 8 points.

The Cavegirls look to regroup before hosting Rio Rancho on Tuesday night. Las Cruces will enjoy a extended break before hosting El Paso Burges on December 1st.

Mayfield over Roswell in OT

Playing in overtime for the second time in two days, the Lady Trojans were able to find success over a talented Roswell squad, 62-54.

Lead by Alina Bourger with 16 points, including two clutch three-pointers, Mayfield’s defense and size at the boards proved to be too much.

Mayfield travels to El Paso to take on Chapin on Tuesday night. Roswell’s road trip continues as they face Ruidoso on Saturday, November 28.
