Las Cruces break Burges Lady Mustangs
Jade Brown lead the Lady ‘Dawgs with 15 points, followed by Andrea Aragon’s 13 in Cruces’ dominating performance over El Paso Burges on Tuesday.
Brown’s dominating performance at the boards overwhelmed the Lady Mustangs.
Burges will be at the Kileen Tournament this weekend. Las Cruces looks to keep their perfect record again El Paso High, as they host the Lady Tigers on Friday night.
La Cueva over Albuquerque
The defending state champs handed the Bulldogs their first loss on Tuesday night, 52-35.
Albuquerque was productive beyond the 3-point arc, hitting 5 shots. Guard Rachel Burkard, who racked up 25 points in the Bulldogs win over West Mesa last week, got all of her nine points off threes.
Tychnna Higgs lead all scorers with 11 points on the night.
La Cueva is at Volcano Vista next Tuesday. Albuquerque hosts the Lady Hawks on December 18.
