Farmington head coach Ben Tensay checked in, and had this to say about his team:

“The team is very young; we have two transfers from Kirtland Central, a sophomore and a senior. My starting point guard is a sophomore, probably the best point guard that I have seen so far in the entire district up here, since I have been here. She has potential as a D1 prospect.

We lost to Shiprock, #1 in state this year, on a FT bout. But this group is the tallest in size since I have been here. On the back court we are 6′ and 5’10″, guards are 5’4″, 5’6″, 5’7″. Starting 5 with only one senior (Patience Benally), Forward: Escojeda, Center: Culp, point guard: Simpson, small forward: May and shooting guard Benally.

Patience is currently averaging 17 ppg. Career high with 24 points against West Mesa High School two weeks ago.

The future looks bright for this school.”

Thank for the update, and good luck!
